About Me

My goal is to help you or you and your partner find the kind of life you want and help you to understand what has been standing in your way. Bringing decades of experience in training and teaching psychoanalytic technique, clinical training, leadership development and executive coaching which has all shaped my work and influenced my ability to help you move forward faster.

I help individuals and couples lead more fulfilling, successful lives. In my private practice, I work with a wide range of professionals at various stages of their career to catapult them to partnerships, paid Board, CFO, CEO, level positions, and philanthropy.

My areas of expertise include: self-esteem, overcoming fear, anxiety, roadblocks to success, relationships (lying, cheating, affairs, porn, strippers), self-sabotaging challenges, living with integrity, body image, eating disorders, addiction, substance abuse, and just plain bullshitting yourself and others.

I work with people in the following fields:

  • Finance/Investment banking/ M&A, Executive Compensation
  • Tech
  • Private Equity
  • Venture capital
  • Creatives (film, writing, editing)
  • Gifted Adults

In addition to my clinical practice in downtown San Francisco, I have taught and supervised PhD students at Bay Area colleges, Universities, and Institutes. My students and colleagues voted me one of San Francisco’s Best Psychologists. I am currently listed as one of San Francisco’s top 5 Psychologists.

I have co-founded, developed, and facilitated non-profit programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. I currently serve on the Advisory Board to Access Institute for Psychological Services where I am the Past President of the Board of Directors, and former Board Development Chair. Access Institute is one of the premier Bay Area Post Doctoral training programs that delivers affordable psychological services for those without adequate insurance or the means to afford high-quality, longer-term treatment.  I serve as an Advisory Board Member with Candace Lightner (Founder of We Save Lives and Mother’s Against Drunk Driving) dedicated to preventing the 3D’s: driving while drunk, drugged or distracted.

As an active member of numerous professional organizations and associations, I have spent decades of my career providing providing pro bono psychotherapy and consultation for various Bay Area non-profits.

As the former host of a radio program with a Communications Degree, I combined these interests and produced two documentary films and a podcast. One of these films is about the life of a psychoanalytic icon, Dr. Hedda Bolgar. Dr. Bolgar left Vienna the day that Hitler arrived in March of 1938. My award winning podcast, “Challenge Your Thinking,” was created to inspire others to overcome fear and move forward in their lives and in their relationships.

I received a Masters in Clinical Social Work with honors from the University of California at Berkeley, completed my post-master’s psychodynamic training at the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, and received my Doctorate in Psychoanalysis from the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.

Additionally, I have pursued couples therapy training and consultation with many psychoanalytic icons and couples therapy theorists and researchers.
